- To keep the non-stick treatment in good condition,
do not use metal or pointed utensils on it.
- This appliance is for household use only, not pro-
fessional or industrial use.
Safety advice and warnings
- Read these instructions carefully before switching
on the appliance and keep them for future refer-
ence.
- This appliance is not a toy. Children should be
supervised to ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.
Failure to follow and observe these instructions
could lead to an accident.
- Before using for the first time, clean all the parts
of the product which may come into contact with
food, as indicated in the cleaning section.
- This appliance is intended for adult use. Ensure
that this product is not used by the disabled, chil-
dren or people unused to its handling.
- This appliance should be stored out of reach of
children and/or the disabled.
Working environment:
- Place the appliance on a horizontal, flat, stable
surface, which will withstand high temperatures.
Keep away from other heat sources and contact
with water.
- Never leave the appliance unattended while in use.
- Do not store or transport the appliance if it is still
hot.
- Turn the thermostat control to the minimum (MIN)
setting. This does not mean that the appliance has
been switched off permanently.
- Keep the appliance away from flammable material
such as textiles, cardboard or paper, etc.
- Any misuse or failure to follow the instructions for
use renders the guarantee and the manufacturer’s
liability null and void.
Electrical safety:
- Do not use the appliance if the cable or plug is
damaged.
- Ensure that the voltage indicated on the rating
label matches the mains voltage before plugging in
the appliance.
Instructions for use
Before use:
- Make sure that all the product’s packaging has
been removed.
- The appliance plug must fit into the mains socket
properly. Do not alter the plug. Do not use plug
adaptors.
- Before using the product for the first time, clean
the parts that will come into contact with food in the
manner described in the cleaning section.
- Do not use or store the appliance outdoors.
- Do not use the appliance if it has fallen on the
floor, if there are visible signs of damage or if it has
a leak.
Use:
- Connect the appliance to the mains.
- The pilot light (G) comes on.
- Do not force the electrical wire. Never use the
electric wire to lift, carry or unplug the appliance.
- Do not touch the plug with wet hands.
- Close the upper housing.
- Turn the appliance on, by using the thermostat
knob.
Personal safety:
- Select the desired temperature.
- Wait until the pilot light (F) comes on.
- Open the upper housing, and put the
food you want to cook on the bottom cooking plate.
- Close the upper housing. Lower gently and allow
the food to settle.
- The temperature of the accessible surfaces may
be high when the appliance is in use.
Use and care:
- Fully unroll the appliance’s power cable before
each use.
- When the food is to your taste, remove it from
the appliance with the help of a wooden spatula or
similar heat resistant implement, do not use utensils
that could damage the nonstick coating.
- Do not use the appliance if the on/ off switch does
not work.
- Do not move the appliance while in use.
- Disconnect the appliance from the mains when not
in use and before undertaking any cleaning tasks.

Open grill function:
- Press the hinge release lever. (Fig 1)
- Open the upper housing, Slide back until it line up
horizontally. (Fig 2)
- Use the appliance as an open grill to cook your
desired food.
Once you have finished using the appliance:
- Select the minimum position (MIN) using the
thermostat control.
- Unplug the appliance from the mains.
- Clean the appliance.
This appliance complies with Directive 2006/95/
EC on Low Voltage and Directive 2004/108/EC on
Electromagnetic Compatibility.
Cleaning
- Disconnect the appliance from the mains and al-
low it to cool before undertaking any cleaning task.
- Clean the equipment with a damp cloth with a few
drops of washing-up liquid and then dry.
- Do not use solvents, or products with an acid or
base pH such as bleach, or abrasive products, for
cleaning the appliance.
- Never submerge the appliance in water or any
other liquid or place it under running water.
Anomalies and repair
- Take the appliance to an authorised technical
support service if problems arise. Do not try to dis-
mantle or repair without assistance, as this may be
dangerous.
- If the connection to the mains has been damaged,
it must be replaced and you should proceed as you
would in the case of damage.
This appliance has been filled with a quantity and
quality of certain oils, therefore the replacement or
refilling of oil in case of a leakage should be carried
out by an authorised technical service centre.
Ecology and recyclability of the product
- The materials of which the packaging of this appli-
ance consists are included in a collection, classifi-
cation and recycling system. Should you
wish to dispose of them, use the appropriate public
recycling bins for each type of material.
- The product does not contain concentrations of
substances that could be considered harmful to the
environment.
